I must admit, I love bright, bold colours and it helps that bright
lips are one of the hot trends for this Spring.
Therefore there are a lot of options currently out in stores. I've been in search of a nice bright bold
orange lipstick for a while and now there are a lot of options with the release
of this year’s Spring collections.
Today’s impulse review subject: Colorsensational Vivids by Maybelline
On my last trip to the drugstore, I asked the store’s cosmetic
representative for her help in finding a nice bright and bold orange lipstick
and she walked me over to the Colorsensational Vivids display. At first look I
was excited, finally the bold, bright, rich colour I've been searching for! So of course I decided to take one home.
According to Maybelline:

The packaging is so eye catching and bright, it stood out among
the other lipsticks. Plus I’m a sucker
for shiny.
I love how this lip stick applies! It glides on like silk and feels very
moisturizing on my lips. It has a light
texture that feels very comfortable to wear.
Electric Orange
Although I love how this lipstick feels, lipsticks are
really all about the colour. The colour
was not very pigmented. Even after applying
several layers it did not become opaque and resembled more of a lip stain than
anything else. Although I like lip
stains and I do like how it looks as a stain, I really wanted a nice opaque
orange. The search continues.
So in the end, the question is, would I buy it again? Yes, I would, but only if I am looking for a
lip stain and not a lipstick
